ENDORSEMENT

HISTORY

The idea was born when Cartblance (TV Program June 2019) www.m-net.dstv.com/show/carte-blanche aired a program about fraudulent acts in the Art industry. The lack of a Central Database was Identified. Francois Maritz (Founder) then identified the opportunity to create yourAtrifacts www.youratrifacts.com to assist the industry to Register & Track the Provenance of all collectible Items such as Artworks, Sports memorabilia, any collectible items.

When Francois Maritz (founder yourArtiFacts) contacted me (Alice from Alice Art) last year to discuss setting up a Central Database creating a Provenance Builder concept, we at Alice immediately embraced the concept and assisted Francois Maritz with all the finer details around the Art industry for him to best create the online platform now called yourArtifacts.

The yourArtiFacts Provenance Builder is an ideal way for Artis, Galleries, Collectors to build a long lasting Provenance. yourArtifacts also creates a Paid online platform for Authenticating and evaluating any Artwork or collectible items.

Alice Art Gallary has implemented yourArtiFacts’ easy to use online Registration (Creates a unique Serial number and Certificate) and Transfer processes into Alice Art’s sales process. All Artworks sold by Alice Art comes with a youartifacts Unique Certificate.

LIBERTY BATTSON THE ARTIST www.libertybattson.com

Liberty Battson is inspired by Modernism, more specifically the Modernist theories around abstraction and the pursuit for ‘truth’ and ‘true art’. The artist uses statistics as an everyday way of representing ‘the truth’. For almost two years, Battson has focused her research on Google, statistically the most used search engine, and tracked what users wanted to know the numbers of/ truth about. The data reflects current affairs and is constantly changing. Statistics are not only the subject matter of her work but also govern the abstraction – the colours and lines that represent these search patterns on the internet.

Liberty Battson is a conceptual artist born and raised in Benoni, South Africa. She matriculated from St. Dunstan's College in 2009 and obtained her BA(FA) with distinction for her work with automotive paint on canvas in 2013 from the University of Pretoria. Battson has most notably won the 2014 Absa L’Atelier competition, is a 2013 Sasol New Signatures Merit Award winner and a merit award recipient for painting in the 2012 Thami Mnyele Fine Arts competition.

Liberty say

My first response when I saw the yourArtifacts Provenance Builder online concept I was completely sold as this is the way forward for Artists like myself. Because of my “digital” passion, I could very quickly associate with the yourArtiFacts concept.

The easy to use online web site makes it very easy to register my Artworks for free. I love the idea that I can now track my Artworks beyond my first initial sale. Now every time my Artwork changes hands yourArtiFacts automatically update my Provenance.

As the yourArtifacts Database grows I will be able to track my Provenance or Artis Value into the future. Potential customers can then independently track my Art Value.
